As a retired software engineer I now work part time as a beginning robotics instructor in Silicon Valley. I have been volunteering as a middle school robotics coach for over 10 years. Since receiving a Computer Science degree at Stanford I have looked for ways to use computers to help people, whether it’s designing software for people with disabilities, or teaching beginning programming to students of all ages. My current project is an educational robot programming game called Fix EV3 Rover. It’s a fun way to share my enthusiasm for computer science with young people.
* I’m pictured above standing next to the tallest man in the world at Ripley’s Believe It or Not. I enjoyed feeling short for a change.
